	Years ago, when gold was over $800.00 an ounce, our company owner, Craig Ashby, was prospecting in the Bradshaw Mountains of central Arizona. With a horse named Roany Reagan, a dog named Nugget, and three pack mules, Molly, Jack and J.A., Craig traveled into Phoenix to find a real job. Five years later, he started Wayward Wind Tours, Inc.

Knowing that this cottage industry would grow with the city, Wayward Wind Tours has always done things right. That means legal. Wayward Wind was the first company to successfully acquire State Trust Land permits. In addition, we have more legal trails than anyone else.

	We have a staff of over fifteen employees including a full time office staff and a full time mechanic to keep our large fleet in excellent operating condition. For those of us that are seriously committed to the tourism industry, there is no such thing as a forty hour work week. We just don't work in the industry, we live in it. You can reach us from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday. We know how busy you are and we don't think that you should have to listen to a recorder. When you do call us, a tour specialist will usually greet you. Without a doubt, this person has the most demanding job in our company.

It is his or her responsibility to know what is going on with every company in the industry and to know who's booked, who's not and how to get in touch with them. The specialist not only books the tours, but also schedules and dispatches the drivers and subcontractors. This person will confirm and reconfirm locations, numbers and spot times. Whenever you have last minute changes and numbers go up, you can be sure that if the tour specialist cannot get it done, nobody can. Wayward Wind Tours, Inc., is a company that was built, not bought.
